In a constant review of how we can bring more value for you as a member of the INS we are proud to announce a further enhancement to your membership benefits. You will remember earlier this year we launched the introduction of digital journals available online. Now we have opened an educational section in the members area to provide you with a growing selection of Educational Video's.

To launch this new feature we are honored to present a talk hosted by Max Rutherston  entitled

Netsuke and Inro: The Beginning, a presentation with examples from the British Museum.

To view this talk please visit the Members Only section found on using your members area username and password to log in.
Steps on how to find the video can be found on the INS forum

Over the coming year we will be releasing more of these educational videos. We will let you know as each session is placed live and we will be offering a Q&A session hosted on the INS forum. The Q&A sessions will be open to email questions for one month from each sessions announcement. To submit any questions you have please send them to and the questions will be compiled into an email and sent to the host to answer. The Questions and answers will then be available to view on the INS forum.

Submissions for this first podcast's Q&A session will be closed on May 10th, 2015

The INS is happy to announce that we will be moving the website to a more secure and reliable server through GoDaddy.  The transfer may have some slight hiccups in the next few days as the server  information propagates through the internet.  We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter.
    Thank you!
